Review : Recommend Watching Instructional Videos by Tom Strong Reviews
My grandfather & I devoted more than two hours to replacing my cross. Since no instructions were provided by Parrot, we had no choice but to watch the meticulous instructional videos by Tom Strong Reviews, which I strongly recommend watching before you start doing the work yourself. In the end, it was worth it. I paid more than $400 (including tax & shipping) for my AR.Drone 2.0 Power Edition, and I did not want to spend money on a brand new multirotor. It works just as well as the old cross, and I'm considering buying another should I break it again, as well as other spare parts to keep this alive as long as I can before this thing just quits.
NOTE: After we successfully installed the new cross, the AR.Drone 2.0 would not attain lift. If this happens to you, this has nothing to do with the cross; it's likely your propellers have warped, which will require replacing. My multirotor flew just fine after replacing the propellers, though I may need new motors in the future.
